East Alger Grade OHM Singletrack

Nearly 12.5 miles of beginning to advanced off-highway motorcycle (OHM) singletrack on Minnesota North Shore-style terrain — rooted, rocky, and technical in all the right ways. The Alger Grade system is divided into 12 separate numbered trails separated by the Wild Country ATV Trail and access roads, so you can pick your distance and dial in your difficulty.

Trail 1 (off the north side of E. Alger Grade) is the friendliest entry point for newer riders. Trails 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, and 8 are where it gets real — most advanced sections have marked go-arounds if you need them. Maintained by the Wild Country ATV Club and managed by Lake County.

Park at the C.J. Ramstad lot on the south side of E. Alger Grade, east of Lake County Hwy 2. Overnight parking and camping allowed — enough room for toyhaulers and RVs. Pit toilet on-site, no other services. Nearest full services in Two Harbors (8.5 miles south) or Silver Bay.
